HOW TO MAKE A HEALTHIER, NO BAKE SNICKERS

MFW they tell me that a candy bar is what I need to solve my hanger:

question mark wtf GIF

I don’t advocate for eating candy to fill ya up; I prefer to crowd in the good THEN if I’m craving something sweet, mindfully indulge!

As always, I prefer to mindfully indulge on a healthier dessert – lily’s chocolate, medjool dates, high fiber maple syrup… ALL the works.

My most recent obsession is flaked salt. Not only does it add such a beautiful topping to your dessert, but it also REALLY brings out the flavor!

HOT TIP: cut the snickers into mini snickers and store them in the freezer. this helps SO MUCH with portion control and IMO, chocolate dessert tastes 1,000x better when it’s frozen!!

Chocolate:

HOW TO:

Nougat:
  1. Soak medjool dates in warm water for at least 5 mins
  2. Blend nougat ingredients in a food processor or high-powered blender and pulse until it reaches a dough-like consistency
  3. Line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper and spread nougat layer evenly with a spatula
  4. Freeze the nougat layer
Caramel:
  1. In a clean food processor or high-powered blender and pulse, blend all caramel layer ingredients until it reaches a dough-like consistency
  2. Carefully spread the caramel on top of the nougat layer with a clean rubber spatula
  3. Freeze
Chocolate:
  1. Melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil in the microwave
  2. Pour the melted chocolate on the caramel layer and top with flaked salt and peanuts
  3. Place baking pan back in the freezer
  4. Run a knife over the chocolate before it becomes frozen solid and put back in freezer until solid (it’s easier to cut when it’s not totally frozen)
  5. Remove from freezer and cut through the snickers, making individual pieces

ENJOY!! Don’t get too hangry 😉
