Flax Egg

Why do we bake with eggs?

Egg-cellent question…

Eggs play an important roll in baking – they add structure and leavening to mug cakes, cookies, and muffins. BUT, they aren’t the only agent that provide that structure to baked goods, flax eggs do just the same!

Flax eggs are a great egg sub for vegans ( or anyone who’s out of eggs ) ! Flax eggs also provide a different range of benefits than eggs. Check out the benefits of flaxseed HERE!

Here’s how you make flax eggs…

1 T ground Flaxseed

2.5 T water

Mix flaxseed and water in a small bowl. Allow mixture to thicken for 5 minutes. This can serve as a replacement for 1 egg.

Would you try a flax egg??!
