Coconut Cold Brew Blend

I’m OBSESSED with caffeine.
Usually, I use my Keurig to make a cup of coffee in the morning and add coconut milk, stevia, and collagen peptides. Coffee gets the job done and wakes me up; however, after I finish my cup of coffee, my stomach feels upset – especially if I drink coffee before breakfast.
On my last trip to Trader Joe’s, I found something that provides caffeine, tastes delish, and won’t upset my stomach.

Our bodies require a balance of acidity and alkalinity to survive. In fact, our bodies prefer to be more alkaline ( over 7 on the pH scale ). The high acidity in coffee can cause those stomach aches.

Cold brew is less acidic than coffee. So, when I spotted a coconut cold brew concentrate at Trader Joe’s, I knew I needed to try it out.
Besides swapping coffee for cold brew, my other tip for caffeine is if you love creamer but not the ingredients,  swap out your creamer for full fat coconut cream! Coconut cream is high in fat but is a fantastic sub for creamer because it contains pure ingredients and still has a delish, sweet coconut flavor.
This recipe is a perfect way to cool off in the summer heat with a kick of caffeine! 😛

Recipe:

TJ’s Coconut Coffee Concentrate

Directions:

Add 1 part Coconut Coffee Concentrate to 2 parts water to a blender ( I do 1 : 1 cause I like a strong bev ). Add in the rest of the ingredients and blend. Top with cinnamon and a cute straw!

I find that I don’t need any sweetener in this blend, but if you wish for any additional sweetness, add stevia.
Do you prefer coffee or cold brew?!
xx hails
PS. if you prefer a less coconut-ey bev, sub the coconut cold brew for regular cold brew!
